About Me!

Hello! My name is Raashi Subramanya, and welcome to my blog! I would like this blog to be where I engage in good conversation with the beautiful art that is cinema. I grew up with a dual identity as an Indian woman and American. I also studied acting extensively at Orange County School of the Arts. So for me, movies have shaped who I am. In engaging with Bollywood and Hollywood, I have been able to explore a part of me that I don’t know I would have been able to if I wasn’t both Indian and American. Bollywood has reminded me that I can stay true to my culture and homeland while still pursuing my interests, while Hollywood has connected me to my vulnerable side. I think that it is important for me to understand acting as a lens into my life, and this blog has helped me do that. So lets enter into a new world, a world of cinematography and production design, actors and directors, and heart gripping emotion and life.
